We pray in our corporate worship service because God answers prayer. Prayer is one of the first acts of a new believer, and the most natural of actions for all believers. Prayer is coming to the God of all grace who loves to hear and answer our requests. Additionally, we confess and repent in prayer; we express our adoration to God in prayer; and we give thanks to God in prayer. We are commanded to live in an attitude of prayer and to pray on every occasion. Prayer is humbling, encouraging and hallowing. We pray in Jesus’ name because He is the only One who can mediate between us and the Father. How can we not pray? How can we not pray together?
