Our souls cry out for the sustenance only the true Word of the Living God of the Bible can provide. Become a woman of the Book and drink in the Word? Practical resources to help you set aside time for the Lord daily to learn about who He is.

Seek after God and look not for the mundane but the bold and the stunning! Be awed by the transforming power of the Gospel.

Father help us to grow in your Word where we see your character revealed. Every page speaks your Holy name. Thank you Lord for the undeserved grace you pour out on us in a continued stream and for the joy we find at the cross. Focus our attentions on the far reaching arm of the Gospel that defeats the enemy when he would taunt and lie. Lord give us a desire to remain in community, adopted daughters sharing in the joy of your presence. In this time of moral bankruptcy help us to be a beacon, a light shining your glory to those around us.

What happens on the Monday following Easter when the candy and discarded broken and bent baskets are heaped into the clearance bin and the backdrop shifts? Our excitement and joy may wane and the treasure become less distinct. John Piper believes this is the time we should draw upon the strength of our brothers and sisters sharing ours in return as "...our worst spiritual and emotional collapses often follow in the wake of our happiest, most victorious experiences."

Shift our gaze to the "love uttermost" of our Savior Christ Jesus as we focus on the days leading up to the death of Jesus(Good Friday)and Easter. Dive into unimaginable love, love without boundaries, encumbrances, love wrapped in humility, love expressed as unfathomable mercy, amazing love poured out covering us in limitless grace.

We should conclude that our sorrows at the death of a believer are joyful sorrows, and our rejoicing at the death of a believer is a sorrowful rejoicing. There is nothing hopeless about the sorrow. And there is nothing flippant about the joy. The joy hurts. And the sorrow is softened with invincible hope.
