Believing Christians are a work in progress. The work begins at the cross and is continual until our last breath. Christian maturity is achieved through growth in Christ and is accompanied with a love for others and a desire to live in community.

It is this love; Christ's love, that creates unity in the midst of diversity; quelling hostility and fostering humility. It is there when we lose our self importance, that the ability to truly serve and love others comes into sharp focus.

From the depths of your heart radiates truth. The beauty of a soul tuned to the Lord is reflected in the words. Let your heart reflect Jesus and the inward changes He has made in you and rivers of living water will flow out to others.

Father's Day is a day chosen to honor fathers and all they do to bless our lives. For some the sting of fatherless childhoods, single motherhood, or the loss of a father can bring hurt to the surface.

Have we lost the art of servanthood? Have we allowed the world to twist, pull, corrupt, and change the definition of a word originally intended to mean a demonstration; a beautiful outpouring of our love for each other expressed as a devoted waiting upon?

True community friendship fosters a safe environment where the hard questions can be asked. Where we fearlessly hold one another accountable. True friendship fosters a sisterhood bond forged at the cross designed to comfort and strengthen.

Loving others with the same ferocity, compassion, and selflessness as Jesus.

Shift our gaze to the "love uttermost" of our Savior Christ Jesus as we focus on the days leading up to the death of Jesus(Good Friday)and Easter. Dive into unimaginable love, love without boundaries, encumbrances, love wrapped in humility, love expressed as unfathomable mercy, amazing love poured out covering us in limitless grace.

It is often difficult to wait patiently; silently as someone's story pours forth. We selfishly or inattentively want to rush in during the first pause. We can cultivate community and relationships if we learn to listen intently with focused other centeredness.

Reach out to others with love in Christ. Plant new seeds of friendship.

Pinning our hopes on a wordly ideal this Valentine's Day can leave us wanting more. When we realize it's not about us, it's about God, we are full of the indescribable joy that comes from the glory of God.

Crave the milk and meat of the Gospel, delight in the Lord. As your knowledge of Him increases that love will bubble over to others.
