What about the pain from holy zeal? (1 Peter 3:13-22; Revelation 6:9-11)
1. Sin’s penalty is gone—forever; your pain is not sin’s condem- nation (1 Peter 3:18; Romans 8:1-3).
2. God has us and we have God (1 Peter 3:18).
3. Following Jesus means following Him through difficulty (1 Peter 3:17-18; Philippians 3:10; Colossians 1:24-29; Luke 14:25-35).
4. The Gospel is astounding - unleash it, proclaim it, adorn it, believe in it (1 Peter 3:19-20). Jesus was preached by Noah!
5. Remember your baptism and its promise of no condemnation (1 Peter 3:21).
6. Our King is Lord of all (1 Peter 3:22; Colossians 1:16-19; Hebrews 1:8; Revelation 1:5; Romans 11:33-36; Revelation 7:13-17; 19:11-21).
