“Do Not Let Your Hearts Be Troubled”

Sunday Sermon: August 26th, 2018
I. Jesus Commands us to trust him as we trust God the Father (v.1)
“Trust in God also Trust in Me.” Jesus makes himself equal to God the Father.
Application/Implication: We show trust in Jesus by not being characterized by fear.
II. Jesus Comes again to take us to himself and God the Father (vv.2-4)
Jesus reassures his disciples that he will not abandon, but bring them to himself.
Application/Implication: We should hold loosely to this world.
III. Jesus Claims to be the only way to get to God the Father (vv.5-7)
Jesus is the way to God, because he is the truth of God and the life of God.
Application/Implication: Let’s confess Jesus with our mouths and believe in our hearts.
